Ready for a “Magical” Special Session next week?

No details have been officially announced yet. But “Bryan Griffin, the governor’s press secretary, confirmed that ‘the governor’s office anticipates a special session next week on Reedy Creek and other items,’ but he would not disclose what those other items would be,” Orlando Sentinel reported yesterday. And today, Governor DeSantis said that a bill to give the state of Florida control of Disney’s Reedy Creek special district is in the works.

Perhaps you remember December's Legislative Special Session on Homeowner's Insurance . . . That the three bills were posted late on Friday before the session on Monday . . .

No worries!—We're all set! As soon as the bills drop, we'll text you the Digital Democracy "Go Time!”

Got a friend or family member who cares about Florida? Get them enrolled asap. So they can join our Digital Democracy Community, too.

Then you can all tell your legislators exactly how to vote!

Sincerely,

Ramon Perez

Executive Director

A “Magical” Special Session — What's at issue?

Digital Democracy Project is always nonpartisan. We don't take sides.

That's why our Kialo debate platform includes pros & cons of each bill. Objective, factual information is available to help voters make informed decisions.

You may also find today's article helpful, discussing the issue's history and current considerations. DeSantis says a bill is being written for state takeover of Disney’s Reedy Creek

Notice the mention of “other issues"? Once the bills drop, look for more info on Kialo — in the mobile voting app & on our discussions page.

Key Feature: Who oughta Kialo?

Too much information! We feel ya. How can a voter cut through the noise and find insights? How can a voter evaluate a bill's pros & cons without getting in a tussle?

We oughta Kialo!

Kialo is a free, nonpartisan debate platform for civil discussion. Every pro or con that's posted has to be approved by the moderator. No name calling! No pressure to vote for or against anything!

Just evaluation of the various aspects of each bill.

You can certainly contribute to the discussion. Just create an account, and start sharing your views—in a civil fashion. Treating folks like you want to be treated. Learning other ways to look at the topics, too. All that, and nobody's getting cancelled!

Voters help one another to become more informed. Calmly, privately, at each person's own pace.

Because, bottom line: Only YOU decide what YOU WANT on each bill.

Thank You!

Welcome new voters! Thanks to all you 32 voters who enrolled this month. We're now at 220. Yay!

Every new person enrolling helps us reach our goal of 1,000 voters. Remember: Legislators won't really “hear” us until we build up our numbers.

So, it's truly valuable—We all need to spread the word to help our Digital Democracy Community reach this important milestone.

1,000 voter enrollments for

March-May Legislative Session?

It sure would help to have 1,000 voices telling legislators what real, registered voters really want.

How can we do it?

Just share! You know the drill . . .

220 sharing with 220, sharing with 440 . . . And voila!

Before we know it, our Digital Democracy Community grows to 1,000 voters!

And it is super easy!

Your friends & family want the Power
